More Than Just 5 Stars: A Surprise Inspection Highlights Our Team Spirit
It was a typical bustling Thursday evening at The Old Fire Station 1905 when we received an unexpected visitor: the health inspector.
These unannounced visits occur periodically, and while they can be nerve-wracking, our first duty is always to our customers. Service carried on seamlessly for our diners while the comprehensive inspection took place over the following 45 minutes.
We are thrilled to confirm that we secured our 5-star food hygiene rating! However, while the rating is vital, the biggest compliment of the night was reserved for our staff.
The inspector was amazed to learn that our efficient team of four included two 16-year-olds and a manager who is just 20. They noted that it was a delight to witness the staff working so hard together with such a lovely manner. The inspector remarked that witnessing the genuine camaraderie and positive atmosphere in the kitchen was worth even more than the five stars.
Our young team works incredibly hard; they all hold Level 2 Food Hygiene qualifications and, although they take their work seriously, they genuinely have fun working together.
We are proud that our independent restaurant in Warminster is not just a fantastic place to dine, but a supportive workspace for our brilliant staff. The moral of the story is simple: look after your team, and they will look after you!
